How to get rehabilitation for those who have had covid-19 and coronavirus pneumonia told in the FSMS
Patients who have had COVID-19 and coronavirus pneumonia will receive rehabilitation services from social health insurance funds. The Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan made the appropriate additions to the Rules for the provision of medical rehabilitation to the population. The order is published on the website "Adilet" - http://adilet.zan.kz/rus/docs/V2000020022
Rehabilitation of patients after COVID-19 involves several stages. Even during the period of hospitalization, a complex of rehabilitation measures begins, which are aimed at normalizing breathing, reducing the development of complications, improving the quality of life and alleviating the symptoms of anxiety and depression.
After discharge, depending on the severity of the course of the disease, the presence of concomitant pathologies, the patient can be sent to the 2nd stage of medical rehabilitation or immediately to the 3rd stage, which is carried out in outpatient clinics, day and round-the-clock hospitals, rehabilitation centers, sanatorium-resort organizations, hospitals at home or remotely. It is worth noting that postcoid syndrome also requires psychological support measures.
“If the patient had a coronavirus infection, blood oxygen saturation was below 95%, the volume of lung damage was more than 50%, or this indicator was at the level of 25%, but there was dyspnea exceeding the norm, there were concomitant diseases, oxygen support was provided, the treatment took place in the intensive care unit, then the patient needs 2 stage rehabilitation treatment. Patients with moderately severe impairments are referred to stage 3, ”the FSMS press service gave an example.
It is worth noting that if there are indications, those citizens who were treated at home and did not apply to medical organizations can also count on stage 3 rehabilitation. They also need to be assessed by a multidisciplinary team.
The rehabilitation course for each patient is selected individually, taking into account the characteristics of the patient's body, the presence of concomitant diseases, age, etc.
The procedure for referral for rehabilitation of patients who have undergone COVID-19 and coronavirus pneumonia does not differ from the existing one: for this you need to contact a local doctor who will give a referral for a consultation with a rehabilitation doctor or a multidisciplinary group of specialists to assess the patient's condition. The examination takes into account respiratory functions (saturation level, changes in CT / X-ray data), the ability to daily life (Bartel's index).
The Fund provides uninterrupted financing of rehabilitation services for the insured population in need of them after suffering a coronavirus or pneumonia.
To provide rehabilitation services this year, the Social Health Insurance Fund signed agreements with 559 suppliers, including 203 private medical organizations among the providers of these services.
If a patient is denied assistance, or he has any questions about the rules of rehabilitation, he can contact the 1406 contact center or leave a request in the Qoldau 24/7 mobile application.
