Protected information:
Your health, doctor visits, diagnoses, treatment history are confidential information. Medical professionals are required to keep secret everything they learn about you during treatment and examination.
When can information be disclosed:
With your consent: You can allow sharing of your data for scientific research or educational purposes.
Without your consent: Information may be disclosed in special cases, even without your permission:
To provide medical care if you cannot express your consent.
If it is necessary to prevent the spread of diseases that threaten society.
At the request of the court or for conducting investigative actions.
To inform the legal representatives of minors or persons who are not capable of independent decision-making.
In cases of suspicion of a crime that has caused you harm.
When detecting mental disorders and propensities to sexual violence; to protect society and prevent possible crimes.
During the state control of the quality of medical services; to verify the compliance of the services provided with standards and obligations in order to guarantee high quality of medical care.
During inspections by the Prosecutor's Office; to monitor compliance with laws in medical institutions conducted in accordance with the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Prosecutor's Office".
At the request of special state bodies; in order to ensure national security and perform counterintelligence tasks.
Exceptions that are not considered a violation:
Data transfer for protection: The transfer of your information to secure storage is not considered a violation of secrecy.
Use of information: The exchange of your data between medical institutions and law enforcement agencies through secure channels for assistance or special requests is also not disclosure.
