Today the Chairman of the Board of the Social Health Insurance Fund Bolat Tokezhanov and the Chairman of the Public Association "Kazakhstan Industry Trade Union of Healthcare Workers" Bakytzhan Tuzhibay signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation.
The memorandum is aimed at improving the quality of medical services, improving the tariff policy for medical services, providing the population with reliable and objective information on health protection issues, developing competition in the healthcare system.
To implement these tasks, the parties agreed to hold joint meetings of consultative bodies and bilateral meetings.
“I am confident that cooperation and support from the trade union will allow us to promptly and effectively discuss issues with the medical community. First of all, this concerns a gradual increase in salaries for doctors and nurses through improving the tariff policy for the provision of medical services, ”Bolat Tokezhanov said during the signing of the memorandum.
In cooperation with the Trade Union, the Fund intends to continue working on increasing the transparency of the Fund's budgetary system, monitoring the financing of medical organizations within the guaranteed volume of medical care and in the compulsory medical insurance system, promoting the professional training of medical workers, improving their competencies.
The Kazakhstan branch trade union of health workers unites about 100 thousand medical workers and includes 13 regional and three territorial (in the cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent) branches. The organization cooperates with related trade unions of near and far abroad.
